Overview

The base shield temporarily protects your black holes and cash from incoming raids, while PvP lets you launch your own holes at other players' bases to steal their cash. Managing both systems well is absolutely essential once you hold valuable mid and late tier holes.

Get the balance right and you will raid profitably while keeping every single one of your hard-earned holes completely safe from retaliation.

Shield Timer:Seconds to minutes

Raid Cooldown:~1 minute

How the Base Shield Works

The base shield grants a window of total protection during which other players cannot raid your base or destroy any of your holes. Upgrading the shield steadily extends the timer from just a few seconds up to several full minutes.

Because raids can permanently destroy holes, the shield is your single most important line of defense for high-value tiers like the Omega Hole.

You can freely toggle PvP on or off at any time you choose. Many players keep PvP off while building up, then turn it on to raid rivals - though the community has noted this can be quite frustrating for attackers.

Shield Timer Tiers

Shield duration increases steadily as you upgrade it through the various tiers. Approximate duration values are shown in the table below.

Longer shields give you safe, worry-free windows to merge and even go offline for a while without losing any progress.

Shield LevelApprox. Duration
Base shield~10 seconds of protection
Early upgrades~1.5 minutes
Mid upgrades~5 minutes
High upgrades~8.5 minutes
Max upgrades~12.5 minutes
Even a maxed shield expires - always pair it with best-hole protection for your top hole.

Raiding and Defending

Three core concepts that together govern all PvP combat in the entire game.

Understanding these concepts deeply helps you raid profitably without ever losing your own valuable holes.

Skipping any one of them quickly turns raiding into a gamble rather than a reliable, repeatable income source.

Launch Raids

Send your holes at rival bases to steal their hard-earned cash, but always mind the strict ~1 minute cooldown.

Use Shields

Keep your base shield fully active at all times to reliably block all incoming raids.

Protect Top Holes

Shield your single best hole with protection before ever going offline for the night.

Destroyed holes are gone for good - never raid without your own shield active, or you risk retaliation.

Safe Raiding Workflow

A low-risk, repeatable routine for raiding profitably without ever losing your own holes.

Always confirm your shield is fully active before launching any attack on a rival base.

End every single play session by protecting your best hole, especially if you currently hold valuable late tiers.

1

Activate Your Shield

Always ensure your base shield is fully up and active before attempting any kind of raid.

2

Pick a Target

Carefully launch your holes at a rival base with visibly exposed cash or a notably weak overall defense setup.

3

Respect the Cooldown

Patiently wait out the full enforced ~1 minute cooldown between each successive attack.

4

Protect Before Leaving

Always apply best-hole protection to your top hole before going offline for any length of time.

Discipline saves holes - rushing raids without defense is the fastest way to lose progress.

PvP Tips

Quick habits for safer and consistently more profitable raids over time.

Discipline here is exactly what separates raiders who profit steadily from those who carelessly lose their best holes to retaliation.

 • Equip a Wormhole boost to substantially increase your overall raid damage against rival players.
 • Toggle PvP off entirely while merging to avoid being raided in the middle of an active play session.
 • Save your hard-earned Stars for best-hole protection once you start holding valuable tiers.
 • Always confirm your shield timer is sufficient before launching any attack on a rival base.
 • Upgrade your shield regularly so its protection duration keeps pace with your growing hole values.
FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

What does the base shield do?

It temporarily blocks other players from raiding your base and permanently destroying your holes. Upgrade it steadily to extend the timer from a few seconds up to several minutes.

Can I turn PvP off?

Yes. You can freely toggle PvP on or off at will. Many players keep it off while building and turn it on only to raid, though this can frustrate would-be attackers.

How long is the raid cooldown?

There is roughly a one-minute cooldown enforced between attacks on the same target. See the cooldown guide for the full details.

Can my black holes be destroyed?

Yes. During PvP, successful incoming raids can permanently destroy your valuable holes, so always keep your base shield and best-hole protection fully active.

How do I protect my best hole?

Buy best-hole protection from the Star Shop to completely shield your single top hole for a full 24 hours of uninterrupted safety.

Is raiding worth the risk?

It can be very profitable, but only ever raid with your shield active and a Wormhole boost equipped for extra damage output.
